It's official: The Rams have hired Scott Linehan to be their head coach. Linehan, who was the offensive coordinator for the Miami Dolphins last season, will be introduced as the Rams' coach at an 11 a.m. Friday press conference at Rams Park.

He met Wednesday night and again Thursday morning with Rams owner-chairman Georgia Frontiere in Arizona. Linehan's hiring was not official until Frontiere gave her approval today. Linehan, 42, was picked for the job over Chicago Bears defensive coordinator Ron Rivera and San Diego Chargers offensive coordinator Cam Cameron.
