The Facts:
There would be awkward feelings all around if the Colts don't wind up selecting Luck with the top overall pick in this month's draft. Colts owner Jim Irsay, however, hasn't guaranteed a thing. He reminded his Twitter followers Saturday the team continues to evaluate the No. 1 pick: "ColtsFans, roster reshaping exciting n producing a very physical MONSTER! Things have always pointed toward #12 but eval process is OpenMinded."

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
The steady rise of Robert Griffin III prompted the Redskins to sell the farm for the Rams' No. 2 selection. It's widely believed they did so with the idea that Luck would be the Colts' choice at No. 1. But the Colts continue to play it close to the vest. In 1998, they chose wisely, selecting Peyton Manning over Ryan Leaf with the top pick. By all accounts, both Luck and Griffin appear primed for successful NFL careers, but as NFL.com's Marc Sessler noted, the Colts -- with a new coaching staff in place and an eye toward rebuilding for tomorrow -- are simply going through the process. For Irsay, who prepares to tie himself financially to another lucrative QB contract, there is no rush. That said, Luck still seems to be the man most likely in line to succeed Peyton Manning in Indy.
