The Facts:
A few days after being told the club felt he wasn't good enough to be their new head coach -- passing him over in favor of Eric Mangini -- offensive coordinator Mike Heimerdinger learned he won't be let out of his contract because the team feels he's the best coach for their grounded offense. "I wasn't good enough for the job and I still have to stay," he said. "I'm not happy with the situation."

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Heimerdinger denied he wants to get out of his contract to become a candidate for the offensive coordinator's job in Denver -- which will become available after the Broncos' season if, as expected, Gary Kubiak leaves to become head coach of the Houston Texans.
