Much like it is in the case of Drew Brees and Ray Rice, Forte's absence comes as no surprise. The difference between Forte and most of the other franchised stars seems to be the level of discontent between the player and the team. Forte has made no secret of his unhappiness over the Bears' foot-dragging on a long-term deal while the Bears have made when they believe to be a reasonable offer to the veteran RB. Their decision to sign free-agent RB Michael Bush last month added to Forte's irritation while giving the team considerable security at the position. This is a situation to watch in coming months -- and we will. Stay tuned.
