The Facts:
Nick Saban made every effort to hire Mike Mularkey as his offensive coordinator when the two met Friday, but the former Bills coach remained undecided, two sources said. Mularkey returned to his home in Buffalo and is not expected to make a decision until perhaps tonight.

Saban indicated to associates that Mularkey was, by far, his top choice and the coach was planning to move quickly because Mularkey is believed to have interest from a number of teams. Mularkey was offered the quarterbacks coach job in Atlanta after interviewing with Falcons coach Jim Mora and owner Arthur Blank on Thursday.
