Harvin's shoulder surgery has been rescheduled for Tuesday, two weeks after the Minnesota Vikings' leading receiver canceled his appointment because of what he called a family emergency. Harvin disclosed the new time via Twitter, where he first disclosed he needed the procedure earlier this month. "Then I'm headed to (Minnesota)," Harvin wrote. "(Family) is doin good and thanks all for support ... Salute."

HC Leslie Frazier has termed the procedure minor, and NFL sources have said Harvin is getting bone spurs cleared out of the shoulder. An estimated recovery period of three weeks means Harvin should be ready when organized activity practices begin on May 29. The Vikings begin their offseason program on Monday.
