Chris Johnson To Take Part In Titans Offseason Program
(4/18 12:33 PT)

The Facts:
Johnson's absence from the team's offseason program has been a storyline ever since he entered the league, but it won't be an issue this year. The Titans running back plans to report when the Titans begin the offseason program next week, although there's a chance he won't be there until Tuesday. The Titans begin the offseason program on Monday. Reported by the Nashville Tennessean

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Attendance is voluntary for NFL offseason programs, but players are "encouraged" to attend. Johnson, heading into his fifth NFL season, has plenty of reasons to be there. As part of the $53.5 million extension he signed last September, Johnson's contract states he must participate in the majority of the team's offseason workouts or he'd be docked $250,000. The contract allows him six absences. Also, as Tennessean staffer Jim Wyatt suggested, Johnson, coming off a disappointing 2011 season when he ran for a career-low 1,047 yards, should benefit greatly from working with his teammates and coaches during the offseason. Everyone involved in the running game, which was out of sync most of 2011, should. And that would be good news for Fantasy owners.
