The Facts:
When Rivers threw 17 interceptions in the first 10 games of last season, speculation grew that he was playing with an injury. The season is long over and we've heard other players talk about injuries they played through since the start of the offseason, but Rivers is sticking to his story. "I was not hurt, and still don't. I feel great," Rivers said to XX Sports Radio in San Diego.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
It should be noted that Rivers and the team denied the notion of an injury throughout the season. Some believed his chest was an issue after
he took a helmet there against the Patriots in Week 2. As PFT's Josh Alper reminded readers, the speculation continued because people were struggling to come up with another explanation for why a player without previous issues in that department was having such a hard time avoiding turnovers. "It's a compliment," Rivers said of the injury-theory. "It's not true, but I appreciate that nobody thinks that I would throw 20 picks unless I was hurt, so I guess that's a good thing. ..." While injury issues often kept their top receivers -- Vincent Jackson, Antonio Gates and Malcom Floyd -- from playing together, Rivers will need to turn things around this season to regain the trust of Fantasy owners who went with him early in their drafts last year. And he'll have to do it without Jackson.
