RFA Deadline Passes Without Any Offers For Mike Wallace
(4/21 12:32 PT)

The Facts:
Following up on the ongoing story. ... It looks like Wallace will be staying put, after Friday's deadline to sign restricted free-agent tenders came and went. Reported by NFL.com

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Teams that wanted to sign a deal with Wallace would have had to send the Steelers a first-round draft pick, a steep price that the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported last week likely would scuttle any trade. Wallace, a third-year pro, led the Steelers last season in catches (72), receiving yards (1,193) and touchdowns (8). He would net the team a third-round pick if he leaves in free agency after the upcoming season. ... If Wallace, who hasn't signed his one-year, $2.745-million tender, chooses to hold out into the regular season, however, it also could hurt his value on the open market once his contract expires.
