Mark Brunell Not Ready To Retire
(4/24 11:56 PT)

The Facts:
Brunell isn't ready to walk away from the NFL just yet. On Monday, the Florida Times-Union reported that the free agent quarterback was ready to retire after 19 seasons in the league. Brunell told the Daily News on Tuesday morning that he still would welcome the chance to play. "If an opportunity came along, I would certainly consider it," Brunell said. "I definitely would like to (play) another season. No plans to retire yet." Reported by the New York Daily News

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Brunell, 41, was drafted by the Packers in 1993 before thriving for the Jaguars for nine seasons. He also played for the Redskins, Saints and Jets. After getting a Super Bowl ring in New Orleans, Brunell played the role of backup and mentor to Mark Sanchez for two seasons. ... Brunell, a free agent, won't be back with the Jets, but believes that his former team can excel with Sanchez and recently acquired quarterback Tim Tebow. "Tim and Mark are going to work well together," Brunell said. "I think they complement each other very well. Tim is going to be a great teammate. You can't have enough Tim Tebows on your roster."
