Davone Bess Healthy, But Injury Was Worse Than Advertised
(4/25 10:41 PT)

The Facts:
Bess was healthy and practicing Tuesday, but the knee injury he suffered in the fourth quarter of the season-ending 17-13 win over the New York Jets turned out to be worse than previously reported. Reported by the Palm Beach Post

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Bess said he suffered both a second-degree torn medial collateral ligament and a partially torn anterior cruciate ligament when he was dragged down by Jets linebacker Bart Scott following a 2-yard completion with just more than eight minutes left in the game. "Luckily, the ligaments were in the right place where they could heal by themselves, so I didn't have to have any surgery," Bess said. ... While the team has a need for a front-line starter at the position, Bess still seemed to be best-suited to working off the bench as the No. 3 receiver.
