Titans Expect Kendall Wright To Be An Immediate Contributor
(4/27 3:18 PT)

The Facts:
Following up on a previous item. ... HC Mike Munchak said there's no doubt Wright will immediately bolster a corps that the coaching staff already considered strong. "We expect him to be able to help us right away," Munchak said. "He is very competitive. He makes plays. He is fun to watch on tape." Reported by the Nashville Tennessean

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
As Tennessean staffer Jim Wyatt reminded readers, Nate Washington, Damian Williams and Lavelle Hawkins all are coming off career seasons. Marc Mariani is also hoping to get more playing time in his third season and TE Jared Cook seems to be coming into his own. Munchak said Kenny Britt, who suffered a torn ACL in Week 4 last year, should be ready for the start of the season. But the Titans now have insurance in Wright. A unanimous All-Big 12 first-teamer, Wright was third in the nation in average receiving yards (127.92) while playing in the slot and on the outside. If Britt is indeed ready to return at the start of the season, the addition of Wright will clearly add to a receiving corps that will be primed to take some pressure off Chris Johnson and make Jake Locker's future look even brighter (even if the second-year QB isn't ready to start this fall).
