Proehl may have played his final NFL game, but left open the possibility of returning for a 17th season when asked about his possible retirement after the NFC title game. "I'm going to take away a lot from the game that I love so much, that has given me so much," Proehl said after the Panthers' loss. "I guess I have learned in the past not to make a decision now -- especially going out like this. It's tough."
