The Facts:
Less than a week
after being drafted, Hill has reached agreement with the Jets on a four-year deal worth just under $5 million, according to a person with knowledge of the negotiations. About $2.8 million is guaranteed, the person said.
Reported by the Newark Star-Ledger
Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
The Jets traded up for Hill in the second round, selecting him No. 43 overall. Coach Rex Ryan said he expects the former Georgia Tech product to start. Hill is a player with excellent size (6-4) and speed (4.3 40-yard dash). As Star-Ledger staffer Jenny Vrentas suggests, the biggest challenge is transitioning from a college triple-option offense to the NFL. The Jets realize this. "The biggest thing is going to be the amount of coverages that he sees, and those type of things, and how fast he can pick up our verbiage here because that will be different for him," OC Tony Sparano said. Look for Hill to receive all the coaching the Jets can get him as the team will look to get him
into the starting lineup as quickly as possible.
