previous item. ... Luck, the first-overall choice in last week's NFL draft, finished his first practice with the team Friday at a rookie mini-camp. "He's unflappable," HC Chuck Pagano said. "He's a natural leader."

Luck said he arrived in town Thursday and was tired from a long flight. "It's nice to get back and practice football," he said. He said he "didn't get melodramatic" about his first practice as a pro. He was joined by his Stanford teammate Coby Fleener, a tight end and the team's second-round draft choice. "It's nice to know I'm not the only one swimming in information," Luck said. Fleener said of his friend Luck, "He's the same Andrew. He's as brilliant as ever." He said Luck was already calling plays "with like 30 words in them. ..." After the three-day minicamp, NFL rules will prohibit Luck from practicing with the team until school is finished in June. Luck said he was talking with Colts receivers Reggie Wayne and Austin Collie to arrange workouts.
