previous item. ... Ingram underwent an arthroscopic procedure on his knee, a person with knowledge of the surgery told the Associated Press. The surgery was performed Thursday. The AP did not report on which knee the surgery was performed. Ingram is expected to return well before training camps open at the end of July.

According to Profootballtalk.com, prior to last year’s NFL draft there were reports that issues related to Ingram’s knee
had some teams dropping him off their draft boards, but Ingram said his knee was 100 percent. PFT's Michael David Smith reminded his readers that Ingram’s knee held up well for him last season, but other parts of his body didn't; he missed two games in the middle of the season with a heel injury, then missed the final four games of the regular season and the entire postseason with a toe injury that required surgery. He previously had left knee surgery while in college. Ingram gained 474 yards on 122 carries and scored five touchdowns rushing for the Saints last season. He played in 10 games, starting four. ...
