Even though he hadn't signed his franchise tender, Barth reported to the Bucs for offseason work this week, which was a strong indication that he thought things were going in the right direction in contract negotiations. The 26-year-old Barth went undrafted in 2008 and bounced around the league for a year with the Chiefs and Dolphins before signing with the Buccaneers in 2009. He had his best season in 2011, making 26 of 28 field goals, with a long of 55 yards, plus all 23 extra points.
