The Facts:
After spending a combined total of about six hours at home with Favre last week, top officials of the Packers are no more or less optimistic about the chances he will play in 2006. GM Ted Thompson visited Favre early in the week and on Thursday, Mike McCarthy spent three hours with the QB. "He knows that Ted and I both want him back," McCarthy said. "He's at a place where it will be a family decision."

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Favre has made it clear the team's desire to have him return will play a major role in his decision-making process. McCarthy and Thompson have carefully avoided putting a timetable on the decision, but the free-agency signing period starts March 3 and the draft is April 29-30.
