The Facts:
According to QB Alex Smith, Crabtree might be the star of the 49ers' spring. "He's healthy, and I think he's excited about that," Smith said. "I think he's feeling really good. You come out and watch and he's running better than he ever has since I've seen him. Running really well out here, making plays. It's exciting to see. "I know a lot of the new faces get a lot of the attention, but he's doing really well here."

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Apparently so. In addition to Smith's comments, HC Jim Harbaugh told reporters last week Crabtree
had the best hands of any wide receiver he'd seen, quite a statement from an ex-quarterback who played with Marvin Harrison, an eight-time Pro Bowler. But the latest comments come on the heels of a very productive late-season push last year. In the final 11 games of the regular season, Crabtree had 61 catches for 742 yards and four touchdowns, which would translate to 89 catches, 1,079 yards and six touchdowns over a 16-game season. Over that 11-game span he ranked seventh in the NFL in receptions and 10th in receiving yardage. Is it a reach to expect more this fall? No. But even if he's only able to match that output, we'll suggest he would provide considerable Fantasy value. Let's hope the buzz doesn't get intense enough to raise his profile too much.
