The Facts:
Following up on the
ongoing story. ...For those who think the Cardinals will give an edge to Kolb because of what the team gave up to get him and invested in him, HC Ken Whisenhunt has a message. "I don't look at a player and think what he's making or what you did to get him here and I don't think that's the way you do it," he said. "I look at them based on the kind of plays they're making."

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Still, Whisenhunt knows the bottom line. "I'll be honest with you and say I obviously know how much we invested in Kevin," Whisenhunt said. "I want Kevin to be successful, I want him to be our quarterback, but I'm not going to ignore the fact that John Skelton worked pretty hard and did a good job when he was in there playing, too. I think he's earned the right to compete for that spot. ..." Which means Whisenhunt will not stray from his usual practice of letting players earn jobs on the field. "I've never really, whether it's been here or in other places, looked at a player based on what he was making and tried to decide, give him the leg up." A little honesty never hurts. Certainly the Cardinals want Kolb to be "the man" going forward. But they want to win more. And from a Fantasy perspective? Neither QB is a significant Fantasy prospect and even if both play, it would appear Larry Fitzgerald will get his looks. ... Meanwhile, the competition continues with the two men splitting time with the first-team offense in OTAs.
