After suffering a thigh injury on a punt return in the season opener, Bryant missed a Week 2 game in San Francisco before playing in each of the next 14 games. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said Wednesday that while he understands that Bryant battled injuries, that is only part of the reason that Bryant hasn't reached his full potential.

"I don't know that [injuries] impacted some of the things that he needs to work on, and we need to work on as a coaching staff to get him the ball and get him into plays," Jones said. "When he would lose concentration in the last part of the game, I don't know if that was because of conditioning. I suspect it could've been. That's not be critical, but I suspect that, rather the injury had anything to do with that or not, those are the things that we're working on so he can be more impactful in the latter part of the game, and we can do the kinds of things we need to do to get him the ball. ..." Jones, who said in November that Bryant has been frustrating and elating in his time with the Cowboys, added that having wide receiver Miles Austin, who missed time with injuries last season, on the field will help Bryant "tremendously." Bryant and Austin were on the field together for nine games last season. The Cowboys went 3-6 in those contests as Bryant caught 36 passes for 565 yards and four touchdowns.
