Patriots Liking What Brandon Lloyd Is Doing
(6/15 1:15 PT)

The Facts:
There have only been small glimpses and glimmers, but in those small moments it’s been clear that something special is brewing. Whether it was a one-handed catch, a quick burst down the sideline, or going up in traffic to grab the ball, Lloyd has routinely provided moments during offseason workouts that cause spectators (and teammates) to step back and take notice of his presence. “He’s got great ball skills and great body control,” quarterback Tom Brady said. “If you get it near him, he’s going to catch it.” Reported by MassLive.com

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Lloyd has spent the majority of his time lined up on the outside with the first-string offense, and is already beginning to develop a strong working relationship with Brady, which has historically proven pivotal to success in the New England offense. According to MassLive's Nick Underhill. the only issue now is learning how to play with one another. “It’s just a matter of sometimes it doesn’t look like he’s really open and then, boom he springs open on you,” Brady said. And while the other newcomers have routinely drawn the ire of the coaching staff or have needed instruction on where to line up, Lloyd has been able to quickly grasp the basic concepts of the system and jump in without any obvious struggles. Part of it is due to Lloyd’s longstanding relationship with OC Josh McDaniels (the two collaborated successfully in Denver and St. Louis). Bottom line? Too much positive buzz is might not be great for Lloyd's draft-day value, but it's certainly good news.
