The Facts:
After
groin surgery in April, Johnson has been unable to participate in OTAs and was
expected to miss the team’s upcoming mini-camp. But after recently pronouncing himself “way ahead of schedule,” Johnson now says he’s ready to work at mini-camp. Johnson said on NFL Network’s Total Access that he will, in fact, be on the field when the Bills open their mini-camp on Tuesday. “I’m looking forward to stepping out there with my team,” Johnson said. “I will be out there for mini-camp with the Bills.”

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
As PFT's Michael David Smith notes, that’s a much faster recovery than was previously expected for Johnson, who at the time of his surgery wasn’t even sure if he’d be ready to go for training camp in late July, let alone mini-camp in mid-June. "I’ve been motivated to get back and watching everybody work is extra motivation to get right,” Johnson said. “It’s been going well, so I’ll be out there for mini-camp with them and we’ll get the ball rolling.” Hard to argue with Smith's contention that it's great news for the Bills that Johnson is ready to roll earlier than expected.
