The Facts:
Despite not playing a down last season because of back problems, Garrard is getting the first shot to be the Dolphins’ starting QB. According to ESPN.com’s James Walker, the former Jacksonville starter worked with the first team at Dolphins mini-camp Tuesday, with Matt Moore working with the second team. First-round pick Ryan Tannehill was with the third team.

As PFT's Darin Gantt suggests, this is one competition which could change quickly when camp rolls around. Garrard has been good at times, when healthy. Moore has proven himself able to make the best of bad situations, both in Miami and in relief in Carolina. And Tannehill wasn’t drafted to sit for long. We still expect Moore, who played quite well last season (and surprisingly well from a Fantasy perspective), to prevail, but it does look like a genuine competition. ... Stay tuned.
