Alex Green Turning The Corner In Recovery
(6/20 1:0 PT)

The Facts:
Following up on a previous item. ... The Packers haven't made much of an effort to re-sign Ryan Grant or any veteran back for that matter. It could be a subtle vote of confidence in Green, whose recovery may be one reason why GM Ted Thompson hasn't been too concerned about bringing Grant back. Reported by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Green, coming off a torn ACL, pointed to last Thursday -- Green Bay's final practice -- as his best day. Green was able to cycle through outside zone plays and cut freely. He also ran all the routes the position demands without any problems. Without a defense and without pads, Green says he is sprinting and cutting fine. Training camp remains the goal. “It’s definitely a goal, definitely a goal," Green said. "I’m progressing and haven’t had any setbacks. I’m getting my strength and conditioning up, getting my endurance up, my flexibility, everything. ...” While coaches will be cautious with him in training camp, if the Packers believe Green can serve a part-time role behind James Starks, there's no need to pay Grant. We'll be watching for more.
