The Facts:
The best player in OTAs? Randy “freakin’” Moss as he’s been dubbed by DE Justin Smith. According to Chronicle staffer Kevin Lynch, Moss looks like he’s reclaiming his Hall of Fame stature after a year away from the game.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Lynch went on to advise readers that Moss looks good deep, shallow and everywhere in between. The speed is still there and players and coaches continue to gush about his smarts and dedication. Lynch added: "Should Moss catch 80 passes this year and the team isn’t decimated with injuries, the 49ers will be in the Super Bowl. He would provide the missing piece to the team’s offense. ..." We'll go ahead and suggest that if Moss catches 80 passes this year, that would represent nearly a third of the 287 completions Alex Smith was responsible for last season. So, with Michael Crabtree (also drawing rave reviews this offseason), Vernon Davis (coming off a huge postseason) and former Giant Mario Manningham (not to mention an assortment of lesser role players, including first-round pick A.J. Jenkins) all looking for their share, the Niner passing attack would have to increase notably to keep everybody happy. We still have questions, but that doesn't mean Moss and the others won't step up and answer. They certainly have our attention.
