The Facts:
For Cook, 2012 means he is entering the fourth and final year of his rookie contract with the Titans. Thus far, Cook and his agent have yet to hear from the Titans front office regarding and extension. In lieu of that, the franchise tag, of course, remains an option for Tennessee to exercise on Cook next March. “I would like to stay here. I like Tennessee a lot, but you just kind of block it out and take care of your job. As long as you take care of your job, you’ll be all right,” Cook said. “I’m still waiting (to hear), but hopefully soon.”

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
According to TitansInsider.com's Terry McCormick, the Titans have always liked Cook, even spending their 2010 second-round pick to trade and draft the former University of South Carolina star in the third round of the 2009 NFL Draft. Since then, Cook has teased and tantalized with his talents, and at times shown himself to be a big-time playmaker. Last season was Cook’s best to date, as he finished the year with 49 receptions for 759 yards. We suspect the Titans long-term plans for Cook will depend greatly on his ability to build on last year's strong finish.
