Bears Not Worried About Matt Forte Picking Up Offense
(7/8 12:26 PT)

The Facts:
Forte will have to be brought up to speed on the changes made to the Bears’ offense by coordinator Mike Tice, assuming Forte signs his franchise tender or a long-term deal and doesn’t sit out the entire season. We hear those inside the organization familiar with Forte’s cognitive abilities have no doubt he will quickly pick up pick up the new parts of the playbook and do not foresee that becoming an issue. Reported by Pro Football Weekly

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Forte, who did not attend OTAs or mini-camp, doesn’t sound like he's interested in sitting out a full season. Still, CBSSports.com's Jason La Canfora believes everything to this point, and how long this situation has lingered even back to last season, doesn't suggest a quick solution now. LeSean McCoy and Arian Foster and other top backs have already been paid in that span, while Forte and the Bears haven't built up any momentum. La Canfora expects Forte to end up sitting out a good chunk of camp, if not all of it, before eventually signing the franchise tender.
