The Facts:
Moss has not been talking to the media, but he has spoken to teammates. One of them, Brandon Jacobs, believes Moss will do well with the 49ers. “His motivation level is high,” Jacobs said on CBS Network’s show, “Rome.” “I think Moss has a chip on his shoulder. I’ve spoken to him a lot, and he starts everything off with, `Just wait.’ He’s got a chip on his shoulder. He’s ready to go out there and show everybody that he can still play.”

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
The 49ers hope that playing for a contender will bring out the best in Moss, who spent 2011 out of the NFL and is running out of time to win a Super Bowl at age 35 and by all accounts he's been the star of the team's off-season program and mini-camps. We still have questions, but that doesn't matter. The more positive buzz Moss generates -- and there's been no shortage of it so far -- the higher his ADP will go. It's that simple. The veteran wideout's current ADP (early ninth round) seems rather reasonable given all the sunny reports. It's not as reasonable when viewed in the context of Moss having sat out the 2011 season after failing to produce for three different teams in 2010. ... Our skepticism notwithstanding, there's no denying Moss' long history of production is hard to dismiss. So we'll obviously be looking for the strong offseason to turn into a strong preseason.
