ongoing story. ... Arrested over the weekend for DUI, Lynch now officially faces DUI charges. According to Dave Mahler of KJR radio in Seattle, prosecutors in Alameda County, California have formally charged Lynch with drunk driving.

Lynch’s blood-alcohol concentration was measured to be in excess of the legal limit of 0.08 percent. As PFT's Mike Florio reiterated, an eventual conviction or guilty plea doesn’t necessarily mean Lynch will be suspended. DUI incidents fall not under the personal-conduct policy but the substance-abuse policy. And the substance-abuse policy specifies that first-time DUI offenders will ordinarily be fined two game checks, absent aggravating circumstances. It remains to be seen whether Lynch’s prior non-DUI incidents constitute “aggravating circumstances.” Either way, it's safe to assume commissioner Roger Goodell will be looking into the case. Worth noting, SiriusXM Radio's Ross Tucker reports that a suspension for conduct detrimental or substance abuse defaults Marshawn Lynch's four-year, $31 million contract and voids guaranteed money. ...
