The Facts:
Following up on the
ongoing story. ... Christian Ponder says he and Harvin have texted back and forth and that the dynamic wideout is preparing for camp, which kicks off in earnest Friday. “I never brought up his situation, but he’s ready to go,” Ponder said. “He’s doing fine.”

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Last month, Harvin expressed unhappiness with the Vikings in vague terms, requested a trade, missed a full mini-camp practice and then returned for the final workout but declined comment on the matter. As Pioneer Press staffer Jeremy Fowler notes, the core of Harvin’s issues are still unclear, at least publicly. Harvin, who is scheduled to make $2.47 million over the final two years of his rookie deal, tweeted at the time that his displeasure wasn't financially related. GM Rick Spielman has said in the past he would keep in contact with Harvin’s agent, Joel Segal, during the summer but the Vikings are expecting Harvin to play under his rookie contract at least through this season. ... For the record: Ponder's expectation that Harvin will be to camp on time confirms what
we've heard from Harvin and
the Vikings.
