The Facts:
After initially undergoing what was originally called "just a scope", Wells was placed on the PUP list today per Adam Caplan on Twitter. Coach Ken Whisenhunt said that Wells going on the PUP list was expected.

We've never really had a full idea of what procedure Wells did have done on his knee, but we do know the scope of that work has been growing since January when it happened. It seems the caution flag is now officially out on Wells who also must contend with the recovery of Ryan Williams for touches and a coach who wants Wells to earn his playing time. Being on the PUP list at this point does not mean he is required to miss any playing time this season.
