The Patriots released Addai today in a move that doesn't suggest he has a lot left to offer at this point in his career.

The Patriots seem to have always had a plethora of backs on the roster and one would have thought that Addai offered the type of veteran presence that could help stabilize their young runners, but we know now that this is not going to happen. Addai will hope to catch on somewhere, perhaps in a role as a third down back, but his days of being a lead runner are over. Unless you are drafting in the deepest of leagues, he should have little to no interest on draft day.
