The Facts:
In spite of having the very successful Bus Cook as his agent to guide him through his current contract impasse with the Steelers, Wallace has decided on his own to not show up at camp.

That has not set well with the team. Steelers general manager Kevin Colbert confirmed a story in Thursday's Post-Gazette that the team has suspended negotiations with Wallace and his agent for a multiple-year contract, and that its last, best offer is now off the table. "I don't want to get into a lot of specifics of the negotiations because we don't do that as a rule, but at that point he didn't indicate to us what his next course of action was to be other than we weren't going to have an agreement." It's too early to get too concerned about this situation, but we'll keep checking the temperature of it in case this heats up. There will be more on this as we move closer to the opening of the season.
