As expected, Bowe did not show up Friday morning when the Chiefs’ opened training camp.

Bowe is a franchised player who did not sign his tender. He has been away from the team all offseason and now is officially a holdout. According to ESPN.com's Bill Williamson, "This thing can get ugly, and it is so unnecessary. We all know Bowe will show up at some point. It needs to be now. ..." It certainly needs to be soon. It certainly seems pointless to miss out on the positive benefits of working with teammates all August when we all know Bowe will be there in September when the game checks start rolling in.
