While that is a sign of respect towards Jackson, it's not impossible that he falls all the way to third on the depth chart before the season kicks off. Matt Flynn is expected to win the starting job by many observers and if the team is happy with rookie Russell Wilson, that could push Jackson to third string which could then lead to him being moved to a quarterback-needy team.
