This action means Broyles won't be eligible for the regular season PUP list and that he should be ready for Week 1 of the season. If he's fully ready to go, his presence in the slot could take a sizable chunk of tight end Brandon Pettigrew's looks away. Broyles has excellent hands, is an advanced route runner for his experience level and he is dangerous with the ball after the catch. Matthew Stafford just added another very talented weapon to the passing game. The air attack in Detroit looks even more dangerous this year than last year.
