While Rice has been cleared to practice, he's not been cleared for contact, so he's practicing in a red jersey.

Or at least he's supposed to be. On Sunday, when trainers and coaches weren't looking, Rice slid on his regular blue practice jersey and jogged onto the field. "I wanted to be in the blue with the rest of the team," Rice said. "I'm not a quarterback so I don't want to wear a red jersey." Coach Pete Carroll offered, "We're just going to go through this conservatively, I guess you can say, and lengthen the time of his recovery through this camp. That's great that he's working and getting the timing worked, but we won't get him banged for a while." Look for Rice to avoid contact most, if not all, of the preseason and then he'll see what has come Week 1. He remains a huge injury risk this season.
