The Bengals have signed HC Marvin Lewis to a contract extension through the 2014 season, the team announced Tuesday. Reported by NFL.com

Lewis is entering his 10th season as the helm of the Bengals, posting a 69-74 record in that time. Lewis has led the Bengals to the playoffs in two of the past three seasons and while there have been some questions about his long-term future in Cincinnati, it would appear owner Mike Brown is smart enough to know a good thing when he has it.
