Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
The Jets acquired Otah on a conditional basis in a trade with the Panthers last week. Per terms of the trade, Otah, who has played only four games during the past two seasons due to knee issues, needed to pass a physical within seven days of him reporting to the team. The Jets were going to give up a conditional seventh-round pick for Otah. The deadline to pass that physical was Tuesday. As Daily News staffer Manish Mehta notes, Otah was expected to provide competition for Wayne Hunter for the starting right tackle job. Now, it appears that Hunter will be the starter at the beginning of the season.
