Following up on the
ongoing story. ... If things go according to plan, HC Whisenhunt said Wells would be able to play in the Oakland game, which would be the Cards' first preseason home game.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Wells, still recovering from knee surgery performed in January, opened training camp on the PUP list. It that's not worrisome enough in and of itself, the fact we still don't know what kind of procedure he underwent certainly makes it more so. Remember: When the procedure was first reported, Wells and the Cardinals maintain the former first-round pick would be on the field for OTAs and mini-camp. Here we are a week into training camp and the most positive news we've heard is Wells "might" come off the PUP and start practicing "some" next week and "might" play against Oakland. We stress the "might." As AZCardinals.com's Darren Urban suggests, there is a long time before then and nothing is set in stone.
