Jermichael Finley Not Worried By Slow Start In Camp
(8/3 2:9 PT)

The Facts:
Don't count Finley among those concerned about his slow start. Five months after signing a two-year, $14-million contract, the TE hasn't made much of an impact so far in training camp. He has yet to make an eye-catching play and has dropped at least one pass that could be categorized as routine. "I'm not worried about a fast start, I promise you," Finley said after practice on Wednesday. Reported by PackerNews.com

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Finley missed two full practices and was limited in one other because of a concussion he sustained on the first day of camp. "Jermichael's on track; he's progressing at a rate that is OK," TEs coach Jerry Fontenot said. "I think he has a ways to go just like everybody else. ..." According to Press-Gazette staffer Rob Demovsky, the Packers are looking for more consistency from Finley, who despite matching his career high with 55 catches last season and posting career bests in yards (767) and touchdowns (eight) was plagued by 12 dropped passes and games where he wasn't a big factor. Late last season, Finley explained his ups and downs by saying the chemistry wasn't there with quarterback Aaron Rodgers. He's apparently still working on that. He's got the rest of the month to get where Fantasy owners want him to be. We'll be watching for more.
