So wrote SI.com's Peter King, who noted that he had made a list of the top quarterback performances he's on his (so far) eight-camp trip. Drew Brees and Philip Rivers were at the top of his list; beyond that were Carson Palmer and then Peyton Manning. But the more King thought of it, the more he thought Garrard should be no lower than four -- ahead of Manning. According to King, "[Garrard] was terrific consistently through practice, hitting a bomb to promising free agent Roberto Wallace down the right side, throwing well on the run across his body, and, in general, looking extremely comfortable in a West Coast offense, which is new for him. ..." HC Joe Philbin was also impressed. "This guy's got something to him,' said Philbin. "I like what I've seen." King has been told Garrard has looked the best overall in Miami's camp work as he competes with Matt Moore and Ryan Tannehill. We'll go ahead and remind you it's early. The battle is ongoing. But for now? Garrard has clearly impressed King.
