Brooks called Williams a versatile power back who is an extraordinary runner with outstanding skills. He went on to say that he is ideally suited to grind between the tackles, but also possesses the speed and quickness to make plays on the perimeter and was impressed with his stop/start quickness and decisiveness with the ball. Williams has been a sleeper so far this year but as Chris Wells continues to experience knee issues, that is likely to change.
