Kolb landed on his right shoulder/arm while being brought down after throwing a pass by Saints defensive tackle Sedrick Ellis. He is unlikely to return.

The injury has not been defined at this time and John Skelton came on for Kolb. After throwing an interception on his first throw and then having a three-and-out series, Kolb was injured the next time he took the field. Though the starting job appears to be Kolb's to lose, this was not a great way for him to start the preseason.
