The Facts:
Kolb suffered a bruised rib and diaphragm when he was slammed to the ground during the season-opening preseason game in Canton, Ohio.

Ordinary people get bruises, but the over-paid Kolb gets contusions. The original thought on the injury was that there was a possibility he could have suffered fractured ribs, but he caught a good break on that. It's not known when Kolb will take the field again, but a flack jacket would likely speed that process up for him once he is able to breathe well enough to get through a practice. Odds are he'll be back within a couple of days as he'll want to hold off John Skelton from gaining significant ground towards earning the starting role.
