In news that will surprise few observers, Garrard is listed as the first-team quarterback on the Dolphins first official depth chart according to Benjamin Volin of the Palm Beach Post.

Garrard has clearly been the best quarterback in trainng camp and the job appears to be his to lose. Matt Moore is listed as second-team and rookie Ryan Tannehill as third-team. There has been speculation that Matt Moore would llikely either be traded or cut if he doesn't win the starting job. That seems risky, however. Remember: Garrard is a 34-year-old quarterback with a history of back problems and he missed the entire 2011 season. He's also had a history of looking better in practices than games. Moore has the opposite issue. ... Stay tuned. It will be interesting to see how this one plays out.
