The Facts:
General Manager Kevin Colbert said that the team has not had any contact with Wallace because there’s not much to talk about at this point in time.

“Yeah there’s really no contact. Mike knows where things stand. The next step for him really is to report and to sign his tender, and until that happens, there won’t be anything else,” Colbert said. “And if that happens, nobody knows where it will go from there. So that’s where it is and has been, and hopefully it comes to an end sooner rather than later because it will be good for us, but it will also be good for Mike.” As a reminder, Wallace has chosen not to follow the advice of his agent, Bus Cook, during this holdout. History says the Steelers will not negotiate with a player until that player is in camp. Management is also holding firm at this time that Wallace is not available in trade.
