While that is good news for Blount on the surface, the fact is that preseason depth charts are often more about motivation than a true sense of where players are projected to be come the regular season. We would suggest that this is a very fluid situation and that when analyzing the skill sets of both backs, it is Martin who is more well-rounded and who the current regime traded up into the first round of the draft for. There will be more to come on this, of that you can be certain. We still think Martin is the better bet going forward as he has received a great deal of deserved praise so far in camp.
