The Facts:
A day after stating he was feeling fine and having no problems on the field, Nicks on Sunday did not participate in practice just four days before the Giants face the Cowboys in the season opener. On Saturday, Nicks practiced and said he was having no issues. He broke his foot back in the spring and, following surgery, experienced no setbacks in his rehab. “I ain’t really worried about it limiting me at all,’’ Nicks said on Saturday. “If I’m out there, I’m out there. I’m still practicing. I practiced full go today, so, you know, if I feel like it was going to be that serious I wouldn’t be able to practice full go. You know it’s just a matter of, it ain’t feeling great, it is what it is and it’s time to play ball."

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
As the Post suggested, it’s likely the Giants decided to give Nicks a day off to rest his foot. He was not wearing full pads but he was on the field and did take a turn catching some passes as the quarterbacks warmed up. HC Tom Coughiln said he expects Nicks to practice on Monday. “I would think so,' Coughlin said. "He looked like once he got out here and he was moving around on the grass, he looked a little friskier. (It) looked like he was going to do a couple of things.”
